Hi Family!
My plans took another little turn this week. Last week I was confronted by the rink here in Provo because the current Skating Director/Marketing Manager is moving in May and they asked me to fill the position. I committed to it today and I turned down the job at the assisted living center. I am super excited! I will still graduate in April and then start this job in May and it will count as my internship. It is amazing that my dream job fell into my lap right when I graduate! I feel very blessed.
Life in Provo is still AMAZING! I love all of my classes! It is such a fun time of life!

Josh's First Post

Hiya Family,

Here is my first blog entry. I think Alex usually makes a weekly entry into our blog. I added a couple albums to our multiply site. I think most of you are included on my email list. Anyway we had a good time in Southern France and it was nice to warm up a little. But we are back home to the cold.

I also just added a picture of my B-day present--a scooter. It was Makenna's idea I guess. Sweet and useful. --Josh

Casey's first post-Surprise!

OK everyone, I'm really going to give this a try, even though I'm pretty Blogger illiterate! I'm not sure how often we will have anything too exciting to post, but we'll try to at least get some pictures up. It was so fun to have everyone here at Christmas. It's nice to see how all the kids are growing up and getting along so well. Our kids are all back in school and we keep busy with the usual-volunteering in their classrooms, teaching music at preschool, doctor appointments, chiropractor appointments, meetings, homework, etc. etc. Our biggest excitement lately has been that Scott and I went to IKEA for the first time on Saturday. It was quite an experience, but not one that I'm up for again for awhile. I'm having fun trying to get the house organized and ready for a baby to come and take up more space though. Well, hope to continue to hear from everyone and I'll try hard to contribute, even though our lives aren't near as exciting as some of yours!

Annie's First Post

Hi Everyone!!
This is perfect that I can keep you all posted! My first week has been wonderful! I almost forgot how much I love this place!! I got all situated and I will be done with my course work at the end of this semester and I will walk at graduation on April 24th and 25th! I am pretty positive that I am doing my internship at an assisted living center here in Provo as the activities director. My boss will be quitting in September and then ideally the job will be mine. My ward and roomates are amazing!! One got home from her mission to Brasil one week ago and the other got home 2 weeks ago from Madagascar. They are still adjusting but we are having fun! Good times!

David's first post

Hi Everybody!
I hope that everyone enjoys this blog and that it will be useful for us to have a central place to keep in touch.
For now, I just wanted to let you know that I have updated our family website: familybarlow.com, you should see a link for it to the left.

Note

Also, me or Dave may change the look of things every once in a while, don't be alarmed. All the posts will stay the same.

First Post

Welcome to the Barlow Family Blog.
Dave set it up. It's for everyone to post. You don't have to put pictures, just post what's going on.
Definitely all trips and trip plans should be posted. Trip ideas should be posted. Kid happenings should be posted. Teeth loss, hair loss, anything. If Heidi gets a speeding ticket, post it! If you add pictures to your Multiply, post it.

Also, make sure to put a label on the post. Labels and frequency will be tracked on the side. I think just put the barlow kid name or Parents.

Anyway, contact me, Dave or Karen for the username and password to post. If you need help make sure to ask.

I think this will help to keep everyone better informed. For example, I didn't know that Anne will graduate this April.

And of course check back often for other peoples news.

We will keep the blog "hidden" so too many non-fam from the internet don't show up, but be slightly circumspect when talking about things. No need for addresses, full names, etc. Don't make it easy for crooks.

later,
Brian
