Movie Review: Wall-E

Wall-E

Wall-E was an interesting movie. It tries to make a political point while at the same time be cute and funny for kids.
It wants to convince you that Man has ruined the planet and filled it with garbage. And that even though Man has become fat and lazy we should still fight for the Earth. Blah, Blah, Blah. It was so over the top it was annoying.
It also wants to be cute and funny, and it really was. Wall-E and his girlfriend are great. The animators and voice actors do an amazing job. There is some genuinely sweet parts of the movie. There are some genuine laughs.

So, if you like the movie depends on how sensitive you are to being called fat, and lazy and all you do is make garbage.

On a rating scale of
  1. See in the theater
  2. Buy the DVD
  3. get it from Redbox
  4. wait till it's on TV
  5. Never, ever see.

I give it a 3. I recommend you wait to only pay a $1 for the whole family.

Thanks Bri. We were debating about this being the first movie we took all the kids to see together. It was going to be like 50 bucks! I think we can all wait until it's on dvd. But it sounds like the folks in Berkeley are going to LOVE it. They're all about being green. Seriously, our city 4th of July Celebration on Friday at the park is called the Green, Red, White, & Blue Celebration. Anyway, Thanks!

Hey Karen, My kids had a hard time witht he movie. Kennedy did alright, Grace got bored, and Demi, well she couldn't keep attention for more than 3 minutes on the screen. It's good for adults that can understand it, but for a child not very entertaining. Wait for it on DVD.
